The second annual Battle of the Peace took place once again on September long weekend at Lone Wolf Golf Course. This event once again saw players from around BC and Alberta converge and compete for over $1000 in prizes. An additional day of disc golf was added pre-tournament in the form of glow-golf. Baskets and discs were illuminated as players played late Saturday night. This gave those who chose to play the advantage of "seeing" the course before the tournament.

Mike Heckbert was 2017's big winner in the Men's Advanced division.

On Labour Day weekend, 2016, the FSJ Disc Sports Club and the Dawson Creek Disc Golf Club hosted the first annual Battle of the Peace. This was a one-day, regional tournament played on a temporary course at the Lone Wolf Golf Club in Taylor, BC.

The tournament was a huge success attracting competitors from all over the Peace region as well as Prince George, Mackenzie, BulkleyValley and Vernon. The tournament sold out, twice! There was great weather, great people, great food and most importantly, great disc golf. Ben Anderson from the Telkwa, BC won the Advanced division and kept the trophy in BC.

The FSJ Disc Sports Club will be hosting the second annual Battle of the Peace tournament on Labour Day weekend, 2017. Stay tuned for details...
